Alameda Creek Trail, Fremont Take Hwy 880 to the Alvarado Blvd/Fremont Blvd exit in Fremont near Union City (NOT the Fremont Blvd exit in Fremont. Turn to the right, then make a U-turn BEFORE the first stop light at Enea. Go west on Fremont Blvd (doubling back) for less than one block. Turn right on Beard Road just after the produce stand. Cañada Road, Redwood City Take Hwy 280 to the Edgewood Road turnoff. Go west about 1/9th of a mile. There is a large gravel parking lot on the right side. Meet at the southern road block. 2BW |

Coyote Creek Trail, South San Jose Take Hwy 85 south towards Hwy 101. Turn right off Bernal turnoff. At the stop sign, turn right. Turn right again just before the overpass. Turn left on Old Monterey Rd. Follow Old Monterey Rd for about ½ mile to Menard Blvd. Turn left onto Menard. Turn right at the end of Menard. Meet at Metcalf Park in front of the restrooms. 2BW |

Coyote Point Levee Trail, San Mateo Take Hwy 101 to Hayward/San Mateo Bridge (Hwy 92) turnoff east. Then take the Foster City Blvd exit (staying in leftmost lane) and turn left onto Metro Center Blvd, then turn left onto Foster City Blvd. Follow Foster City Blvd to the end and make a left at the stop sign onto East Third. Turn right at the second stoplight onto Lakeside Drive and follow the road to the right into the parking lot which is at the base of a netted golf driving range. Meet in the parking lot. 3-2AV |

Foster City Trail, Foster City Take Hillsdale exit off Hwy 101. Go east on Hillsdale to Edgewater Rd and turn right. Go to Port Royal, turn right (this is the first right AFTER the stop signal at Beach Park), and continue about a mile to Lantern Cove. Meet in the parking lot. 3-2AV |

Iron Horse Trail, Danville (North Entrance) Take Hwy 680 north toward Pleasanton. Exit Hwy 680 at Crow Canyon East, left on Camino Ramon Blvd to Fostoria Way. Meet at the end of Fostoria in front of the trail entrance. Bring a knapsack. We skate north past a farmer's market where you can stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and other goodies. 2BX |

Iron Horse Trail, San Ramon (South Entrance) Take Hwy 680 north toward Pleasanton. Exit Hwy 680 at Alcosta Blvd. Go east on Alcosta, 1/4 mile, to Iron Horse Trail Blvd. You can park on the street. There is a shopping center on the south and a golf course on the north side of the street. Meet at the entrance of the trail on the north side of the street next to the golf course. 2BW |

Los Gatos Creek Trail, Campbell Take Hwy 17 south towards Santa Cruz. Take the Hamilton Ave exit in Campbell. Turn left onto Hamilton, right on Bascom and then right on Campbell Ave. Go under the overpass. Turn left at the stop light (Gilman Ave). Meet at the bottom of the hill in the parking lot (the first driveway on your left). The parking lot is usually full. You may have to park on the street. 2B-DW |

Sawyer Camp Trail, San Mateo From the north take the Haynes-Black Mountain Rd exit west from Hwy 280 and go south on Skyline Blvd to Crystal Springs Rd. From the south take the Bunker Hill Rd exit west to Skyline. Follow Skyline north one block past the overlook at the Crystal Springs Dam to the intersection with Crystal Springs Rd. 3CW |

Shoreline Levee Trail, Mountain View Exit Hwy 101 at Shoreline. Turn east onto Shoreline Blvd. at first stop. Continue through Shoreline Park to end of road. Meet in the parking lot next to the lake. 2AW |

Stanford University, Palo Alto Exit Hwy 101 at University. Turn west onto University. Keep straight on University for several miles through plush estates and the quaintness of downtown Palo Alto. University Avenue becomes Palm Drive after you enter the University. Meet at the far end of Palm Drive. 2AW |

Vasona Park Trail, Los Gatos Exit Hwy 17 at Highway 9 Los Gatos Saratoga turnoff. Go 0.3 miles on Saratoga Road and turn left onto University. Then go 0.2 miles and turn left onto Miles Road. Park at Balzer Field in the parking lot. Meet at trail head. 2B-DW |

American River Parkway, Folsom Lake Follow US-50 Eastbound from Sacramento and exit on Hazel Ave. Go North on Hazel across the American River. Turn right on Madison Ave (about 0.5 miles past the bridge). Follow Madison Ave about 2.0 miles to Greenback Lane. Pass Greenback Lane about 0.2 miles and turn right into Negro Bar entrance (no sign -- watch for change in number of lanes -- if you get to Folsom-Auburn Rd you have gone too far). After paying $6 at the kiosk, proceed for a few hundred feet and take the first right turn, off the main road, into a parking lot. Go right after you are in the parking lot, and follow the road back as far as it goes and park in the paved parking lot. See About.com's web page for more info and map. |

Lovers Point Trail, Pacific Grove Take Hwy 1 to Pacific Grove/Monterey turnoff in Seaside. Follow road through Pacific Grove/Monterey tunnel to Pacific Grove. Once in Pacific Grove take any street and head for the ocean. You'll run into Ocean Blvd. Once on Ocean Blvd turn left and follow Ocean to Lover's Point. Meet in the Lover's Point parking lot across from the Tinnery Restaurant. Meet at 12:00 noon in order to accommodate for the length of the drive (approximately 1-1/2 hours from San Jose).
